Why do people wear their rings on the fourth finger?

The first finger or thumb represents your parents.
The second finger or index finger represents your siblings.
The third finger or middle finger represents yourself.
The fourth finger or ring finger represents your spouse or partner.
The fifth finger or small finger represents your children.

If you combine two palms with your fingers touching each other, you can separate your thumbs. This is because your parents are not meant to be with you the entire life. The same goes to the index fingers and the small fingers. Your siblings and children will have their own family and live their own lives. Try separate your ring fingers. Trust me, they can't be separated. It is because the ring fingers represent your partner or your spouse and spouses are meant to be together for the rest of your lives.
