Another Concern; Dry Drowning

One topic on Oprah that caught my attention; Dry Drowning. The case that they (Oprah & Dr. Oz) were discussing was a very old one (I think it was a repeat episode of Oprah); Dry drowning that killed a 10 year-old boy.

The case happened during 2008. It concern me cause being me, who loves to swim, I think this is a good exposure and hopefully this case can open other people's eyes too.

The thing is, dry drowning always (almost) happen to small kids who don't know how to breathe right in the water. You don't inhale the air through the nose but u blow (bubble) the air into the water from your mouth. In fact, you certainly can't breathe in the water, can you? For us adults, this might not be a serious matter because we know how to "handle" our body but for kids and children, they need guidance (I think so).

When I first learn how to swim (I learn as early as 5 years old), I didn't know how to breathe in the water. I just suddenly swim. Bunyi macam takbur la pula. But when I joined the swimming class as my extra co-curricular activity during my second & third semester, then only I know the function of blowing in the water.

Back to the main topic, Dry Drowning(DD) is just as similar as Pulmonary Edema (PE) or in Malay we call it Paru-paru Berair. DD happen when you suddenly suck in water through your respiratory organ (nose) into the lungs that can bring you to death. While PE happen when there is leakage of fluid; might be from the heart, into the lungs that able to cause similar effect; death.

In our lungs, there is a soap-like fluid that act as a lubricant that enable for our lungs to stretch (expand) and relax during the breathing process. The presence of the water or fluid in the lungs will remove the soap (lubricant) from our lungs and cause difficulties for us to breathe. The lungs will no longer able to contract and relax (of muscles) causing of reduction of oxygen level in the blood and eventually, death will take place.

The symptoms are just the same for adults and children. Shortness of breathe, fatigue, Excessive (cold) sweating, cough, pale skin and many more. For children, the symptoms will occur faster than the adults, may be within 2 to 8 hours.

At Last...

I have my own jewelery box! Yeay!

Yeah, I know it's kinda lame but what to do? I didn't really have my own jewelry, you know? Like, I can't remember whether my mom bought me any jewelry before except for one gold bracelet when we went to Mecca and now, the bracelet is with my ex-boyfriend who is so ignorant to return it back to me. Even after I gave him my contact number, he said "we'll deal with it later". Like, WTF?

But, I'm not here to talk about the bracelet today. I'm here to talk about this thing that I bought yesterday at Nichii, Sunway Pyramid.


My first necklace that I bought with my own money. Although it is cheap but still, my very first necklace! Yeay! Haha! Take a look of this necklace that can also be use as a multiple bracelet at one time.


Nice, isn't it? Hehe! I just can't help it from wearing the necklace all day. It's like my new addiction. Necklace! Next up, is pendant. I've seen a few nice pendants but money wise, I don't think a simple pendant should cost more than RM20, no? WTV it is, self-satisfaction is much more important! Haha!

Have you ever being sponsored? Well, I feel lucky for being sponsored by Sime Darby *ehem ehem* to go watch a theater at The Actors Studio at Lot 10. I thought the price was all the same but no! Haha! Silly me. The one that I got was a center seat ticket. So, it was good to be seated at the center, fourth line from the stage.

The show was fine. Of course it went well. The story line was just okay for me because I couldn't find the climax. Even my company complained about how disappointing the ending was. I mean, they can do it better instead of just educate people about HIV and AIDS. Not much emotions except that I got to watched two drag queens singing and dancing on stage. Haha! They were funny like, seriously! Ohh, and watching the dead lady who was a bit crazy ting tong was fun too! Haha!

Other than that, the music was awesome. Same goes to the lyrics and choreography. I wish I could install the same sound system in the studio, into my house because it was beyond what I expected. Haha! Kalah sound system wayang ok!

I don't wanna talk about the synopsis cause I think you can Google it yourself. Just remember one thing. When you love somebody, always be there for him/her. No matter what will come and go. Think wise in everything you do. I just can't imagine if what happened to Adam (the lead character), happens to my love ones.

Overall, I enjoyed the show sampai nak pergi shuffle kat Rootz next door. Joking! Thanks akak for the opportunity. Next time bagi la lagi tiket free kat aku eh? Haha!

Support la industri teater kita. Mungkin cerita wayang banyak yang merepek tetapi teater selalunya tidak akan menghampakan anda.

I've Been Hitched Again

I really don't know what to say. I should be happy but I feel guilty for my BF.

Malam semalam, ada seorang lelaki call I. Phone number dia was quite familiar cause dia dah few times called but may be he didn't have the confident to speak, so jadi missed call. So, semalam baru dapat semangat agaknya, he spoke!

The story begin a week ago. My sister and I went to a Career Expo in PWTC (not exactly in THE PWTC). As usual, I printed out several copies of my CV and dropped them at few booths for job hunting. At this particular booth of Top Glove, I had to filled in a form and of course, I needed a seat to write comfortably. So, I sat at this one table provided by the company, filled in the form and handed both my CV and the form to the staff. After that, I walk off.

So, last night, this particular guy which I just can't remember his name, called me. The conversation goes more or less like this:

Assalamualaikum, boleh saya cakap dengan Cik Nisa?

Waalaikumussalam. Ye, saya Nisa. Siapa ni?

Saya bla bla (his name which I forgot).

Ok, awak ada hal apa ye?

Ermm, last week, awak ada pergi Career Expo dekat PWTC tak?

Ye, saya ada pergi.

Awak ada hantar resume dekat Top Glove tak?

Yes, ada. Kenapa?

At this point, I thought he might be the representative from the company but why is he calling at night? But, he was not one of them. He said;

Saya nampak awak dekat booth Top Glove. Boleh saya berkenalan dengan awak?

Apa? Awak ni siapa? Mana awak dapat nombor saya ni?

I was really surprised. I thought may be he was one of the staffs on-duty at that time but, he was not! He was... An ANONYMOUS!

Saya ambil nombor telefon awak dari resume awak. Awak ingat tak masa awak duduk nak isi borang dekat Top Glove?

Yes, memang ada kena isi borang tapi saya tak kenal awak pun. And kenapa tiba-tiba awak nak ambil nombor saya dari resume saya?

And he answer which made me more angry was;

Saya lelaki yang depan awak tu. Saya nak berkenalan dengan awak and saya rasa cara saya dapat nombor telefon awak tak patut jadi isu kan?

I was like, WHAATTT?! Tak patut jadi ISSUE?!

Hello?! Awak tahu tak yang resume saya tu private & confidential? Staff Top Glove pun tak boleh reveal nombor telefon saya ini kan lagi awak yang baru nak apply kerja CURI nombor telefon SAYA dari RESUME SAYA tanpa kebenaran saya! Awak ni sangat tak professional la!

And the next answer just couldn't help me from slowing down my voice. Even my mom who was watching the telly also could here my voice clearly.

Saya rasa itu tak patut jadi isu sekarang sebab at least saya ada usaha untuk berkenalan dengan awak. Lagi pun, awak be open-minded la sikit.

I was really MAD and ANGRY, there and then! What does he know about professionalism eh?

Hello, kalau saya ni tak open-minded, saya dah letak telefon dah sekarang tau! Awak ni faham tak dengan apa itu PROFESSIONALISM? Awak faham tak yang resume saya tu PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL? Lagi satu, awak ingat perempuan suka ke kalau awak treat macam ni? Kenapa hari tu awak tak kejar saya aje?

And he gave me 1001 reasons that didn't make sense to me and it shows that he wasn't a true gentleman!

Saya rushing lagi pun kita sama-sama rushing time tu kan? So saya tak nak la tahan awak kat situ. Lagi pun, saya tak rasa salah kalau saya ambil phone number awak kat resume. Saya tak rasa benda ni boleh jadi satu isu.

At that moment, I know this is not the right guy to be my BF and not even my friend. He obviously doesn't understand about P&C and Professionalism and he is not a true gentleman. He doesn't know how to treat a girl right and how to control a girl's emotion. I might be furious at that time but if he really know the psychology, he wouldn't have much problem to control my emotions and feelings, right? Sigh!

I have to admit that I'm very choosy in choosing my guy friends. I don't really talk to strangers even though the caller might be a girl. I seriously will not entertain unknown numbers because I hate to disturb people as much as people disturbing my nights.

So, to The Guy who called me last night, I am so sorry if I had ever hurt you or was not decent enough but the way you did it was just not right for me. I am so sorry and FYI, I already hooked up with someone else. I'm just sorry, dude!

Later, he sent me a text message:

Maaf cik nisya..mungkin cara sy approach awk x suka..sy xkn ganggu awk lg lepas ni

Dude, like seriously! OMG. Clueless aku dibuatnya. How do you spell my name? Is it hard to spell my name right? I mean, better get the spelling right before you wanna hitch somebody, man! It's N I S A! I'm no Indian! Kalau macam ni la gayanya, akad nikah nanti memang tak sah! Memang tak boleh buat BF macam ni! Sigh!

This Is Too Much!

What you will see is an awful picture. I just couldn't stop shedding my tears. What has happened to the human in this world? Not only they shoot other humans but they also do it to the cats. The worst part is they did to the KITTENS!

The kittens’ bodies were covered with bullet holes, with blood all over. One of the kittens had its neck tied with a rope and elongated, its chest cut open, heart exposed, while the other three kittens’ heads were stepped on."

This sad moment reminds me of my 3 cats that had been poisoned with rat poison and died in front of my eyes.

When Was The Last Time I Went There?

This is a long due post hence it is gonna be LONG!

After the final exam, Raihan H plan dengan Shidot to have a road trip. Since I've never been to any road trip with my friends, why not kan? So, last Wednesday, kami berlapan pun bertolak ke Port Dickson atau PD naik 2 buah kereta.

Before sampai PD sempat juga la stop dekat R&R Seremban untuk isi perut tapi I didn't know what to eat so tumpang orang lain punya breakfast. There was this one R&R guy - kedai dia depan tempat kami makan, who non-stop singing. Nak mengorat tapi trick dia tak menjadi. I had hot milo that morning and he even sang about my drink. Macam pervert pun ada. Desperado!

Around 11.30 am sampai dekat PD tapi tak tau nak buat apa so tukar baju dulu dekat Petronas PD.

After tukar baju, we decided to mandi dekat Teluk Kemang sebab dekat Tanjung Tuan air tengah surut. Lagi pun still pagi kan so, memang air laut surut.

Our first activity was snorkeling. Air agak cetek so boleh pijak corals tapi watch out for the sharp ones. Sakit juga la kalau luka kena air masin. One of us kena mabuk laut so Nadiah just stay in the boat while we had fun in the water. Kesian juga la dia tak had fun langsung.

I can sit on the corals but the wave was so strong. Badan memang rasa kena tolak dengan ombak tapi takut punya pasal, I pegang coral kuat-kuat lepas tu bila snap gambar, muka jadi macam ni. Hehe!

The water was quite clear. Boleh nampak la juga ikan dalam air. Seronok juga la main kejar-kejar dengan ikan. Haha!


Bila nak panjat banana boat agak susah so we had to hang onto each other but in this case, these two girls didn't know how to swim so they kept pulling my life jacket and legs. Memang susah sangat nak tarik because the wave was strong and nak mengelak kena corals yang tajam.

After snorkeling, Abang Tour Guide bawa jalan-jalan pergi sight-seeing naik banana boat. Memang challenging! Sakit pinggang aku! Siap kena campak masuk laut lepas tu kena terajang and siku dengan orang lain. Memang sakit juga la tapi overall fun habis!

Pergi tempat orang kaya tengok boat besar and hotel yang tak mampu nak bayar. Semua orang macam jakun juga la tengok boat besar. Haha!

Lagi banyak kali kena humban masuk laut. Memang fobia lepas ni tak mau naik banana boat lagi. Tapi muka maintain happy, dalam hati Tuhan je la yang tahu sumpah seranah. Wakakaka!

Dah puas Abang tu jatuhkan kitorang baru stop. So, apa lagi boleh buat? Main air and cam-whore je la yang mampu.








Lepas semua dah wash off and tukar baju, lapar la pula kan. So, kitorang pergi makan dekat...


The place was ok. Tepi jalan betul so siapa yang concern about habuk tu tak sesuai la. Tapi kitorang redah je sebab semua dah penat and lagi pun it was a very late lunch. Kalau pergi kedai makan biasa for sure dah tak ada lauk.

An attempt of drinking 3 drinks at one time

Dia ni memang tak puas hati. Orang try 3 drinks dia nak 5 drinks!

I had plain fried mee that was more to Mi Sedap yang gila sikit - macam separuh packet Mi Sedap, and a glass of Jasmine Tea. Nak tunggu makanan sampai macam travel dari PD ke Bangi! The service was poor. Nasib baik Jasmine Tea sangat refreshing.

Dah lapar sangat sampai tak sempat nak snap gambar mee yang sangat sedikit.

Lepas makan balik terus ke Shah Alam. Esok hari, muka dah ada 2 tone warna and both thighs ada line sebab pakai seluar belang-belang.

Sampai sekarang, kesan pantai PD still tak hilang lagi. Tiap hari scrub muka and badan tapi kesan still sama. Haha! Thanks a lot for those who made it to that day. Siapa yang tak terjemput, sorry ye. Hope to see you guys in the future. Good luck to all my BSAC classmates! Love ya!
