Chipsmore!

Sekejap ada, sekejap tak de!

This is just another short update of what I'm currently doing for living.

I got a 60-days-replacement job as a TEACHER! Yes, I teach standard 2 and 3 students. Of course, they are primary students. It is a very challenging task as I was assigned to teach the remedial class. Although it was only for Bahasa Malaysia but still the students are very hyper! Low level of concentration. Very high-pitched and most of all, very straight forward! They don't think the cause & effects of whatever that's gonna come out from their mouths.

The good news is I only have another 2 weeks and then off I go! Of course I'm gonna miss my kids so much despite of whatever that they have done. Not bad things but you know what a child can do. Just like what we had done once upon a time. Wink!

I'll post up some photos later but for now, I must bid good night & good bye for a while. This teacher has classes to teach tomorrow!

Take care guys!

XO ;)

Applying New Recipe

Cooking is a very interesting thing to do. Different ingredient gives different taste but some of them can replace each other to give the same smell and taste. A combination of both would be nice but try to be a minimalist in creating a dish.

This week, I tried to create a mango salad & chicken with black sauce. All basic ingredients were used but I added some new ingredients, more to I did it my way.

Shredded mango mix with four-angle beans, long beans, onions, some green & red chillies. All veges were cut into very small pieces. Add some lime juice, salt & sugar. The main ingredient is the mango. Choose your own type of veges to add into the salad. For a nice smell, add some ginger buds.

Marinated chicken cook with soy sauce. Saute some garlic & onion until they turn brown. Add in the chicken and some water. Simmer the chicken until half cook. Add in some soy sauce & oyster sauce (for taste). Simmer the chicken until fully cook. Add in black pepper, salt and some sugar.

Test your taste buds! See ya!

For The First Time Of My Life

Assalamualaikum.

After a very long hiatus & a few short updates of what I'm currently up to to fulfill my free time, today I present to you my first ever meal that my sister & I prepared for family dinner.

Last Friday, February 11, marked a new history in my life. I cooked for the first time! By saying 'first time', I mean my very first attempt of cooking the real meal from raw until the end. I applied some recipes that I learned from my grandma and it turned out quite well.

First dish was dry-fried black pepper meat. I blend curry leaves with black pepper & a bit of turmeric as the marinate sauce and smear all the blended spices all over the meat. After about 15 minutes, fry the meat with a little bit of oil and lots of onions. Black pepper & curry will give the heat (spice) while turmeric prevents the smell and onions will give rise to the sweet taste and smell.

Second dish was chicken with chilli sauce. A very simple dish yet contribute a lot of taste. Firstly, saute the onions until brown. Throw in lots of chilli paste and stir. Put in the chicken & wait about 20 to 30 minutes. Put some tamarind juice and let the chicken in the pan for a while. Stir the mixture and add salt and sugar.

The final dish was saute veges. First, cut all veges that is needed. As seen in the photo, there are cabbage, carrot and celery. Saute some onions until brown. Add in all the veges that has been cut and add in some water. Leave the veges for a while. After about 3 to 5 minutes, add in some oyster sauce, salt and a bit of sugar. Stir for a while and it's done!

The food-tester were of course my parents and the review are as follows:

The meat was a little elastic. I should have let the meat in the pan a little while more. Onions were not enough. Overall was just fine.

The chicken was well-cooked. The chilli was not too spicy. We should add more salt to encounter the sour taste of tamarind. Overall was good.

The veges was the best! Perfect taste. The veges were really well done. Not too raw but not over-cooked.

Next on menu: Ayam masak kicap & kerabu mangga (Chicken with soy sauce & mango salad)

It's Been A While

Yes. It has been a while since the last time I was connected to the virtual world. The world that has no boundaries. The world that is beyond 'democracy'. Every single person that step into this world has their own say. Some of it is very nice to read but not to forget the hard and bitter ones. The victims have no exception. From the anonymous to the most popular human being on earth. No exceptions.

Life has been good so far. More and more time to sleep and relax and just chill. I finished my degree course last Nov 2010. I am now a proud young lady who has finally completed her degree and is taking her own sweet time to enjoy her sleep. I can literally and practically sleep anywhere. In the kitchen while waiting for the laundry. On the sofa while staring blankly at the ceiling, day dreaming. I can sleep in the car while waiting for the car in front to move in a traffic jam or while waiting for the damn traffic light to turn green. I can sleep in my super comfy old hard spring bed with my smelly bed sheet. In an easy way of explaining, I am loving what I do now, SLEEP ALL THE TIME!

Apart from that, I also do a part time job. A personal driver to my little sister and also a tutor to my little cousins. Of course I will not sleep during driving on the MRR2. Only God knows how bad the traffic is! Sigh! And of course I won't sleep while teaching. So far, I love teaching those little God creatures. It's just that I can't handle the noise caused by their high-pitched voice! GOD PLEASE HAVE SOME MERCY ON ME! Thank you, Lord!

So, basically my day starts around 10 in the morning and ends at 1 am in the morning. I love it!

I see you guys soon. Take care! XOXO ;)

Shocking News: My Uncle Passed Away

I really don't know how to explain my feelings when my mother told me about the shocking news.

The story started 24 hours before that. My uncle had a terrible breathing problem few days before that but he still had positive hopes that everything will be fine. Little that he knew, his lungs and heart were having major problems. He couldn't breathe right because apparently, there was massive fluid content inside his lungs and from what my aunty told me, there was blood clot in his vein. Thus make it hard for him to breathe.

My uncle first went to the clinic for a check up but he was sent to the state hospital for further treatment. His condition was getting worse. On that particular night, while he was resting on the bed with his son massaging his leg, suddenly he fainted. Total black out! The doctors try to do the CPR (not the mouth-to-mouth but chest massage or pump) for a few minutes and successfully brought him back to life. Unfortunately, his condition was already at stake. Doctors then diagnosed him as brain death. No oxygen supply in his brain due to the fluid in his lungs and on top of that, the blood clot. Thus his brain couldn't function properly.

A few minutes later, the heart beat went off again. Doctors (aunty said there were 3 of them) take turn and try their best to brought him back but failed. Positively I'd say, God loves him more than us here. After 25 minutes fighting for his life, my uncle passed away around 10.30pm on December 14, 2010.

The burial was held on the next day. My uncle left his wife and 4 children. I pray for him to be rest in peace. Innalillahiwainnailaihirojiun.

RIP Andak!

Past Activities: Cousin's Wedding

This blog post is very very out dated already but who cares? So, here are some of the activities that I've been up to.

My cousin's wedding was held about a month ago, a week before Eidul Adha.
The solemnization was held in Alor Setar, Kedah which is the hometown of the bride, followed by a ceremony the next day.
Some of the pictures during the wedding ceremony in Kedah.

I'm sorry. I feel like I have to put up this photo. It's so laughable. My youngest sister slept the whole way from KL to Kedah. She didn't even woke up when we stopped at the resting area. I just can't help it seeing how she sleep. Sigh! So Koddey, sorry for putting up this photo.

My cousin is the bride. Nervously waiting for the solemnization (akad nikah) to finish. Up to this moment, I still can't believe it she is now somebody's wife. So awkward seeing her doing house chores.

The groom. They know each other through the groom's sister which happened to be my cousin's housemate during her study time. They fell in love the first moment he saw her.

Just after the solemnization ceremony. Both groom and bride had to sign a few forms. All five sheets of them.

Upacara batal air sembahyang. Gold ring and a bracelet together with the mahar (mas kahwin).

Done with the solemnization! Now officially called PUAN HANISAH ABDULLAH. Yeay! *Clap clap*

Newly wed bride together with her family. The only one missing was her youngest brother.

Pengantin perasan muda.

Back at the hotel. Tangga pun jadi lah.

Please excuse the presence of my nephew there.

Our big family including parents & siblings of the groom.

A week after that, the wedding continued on the groom's side.
Another ceremony was held in Batu Pahat, Johor.

Us together with the couple. Just got off the car.

The not-so-newly wed couple. Married for one week already. On the other note, why must my nephew be in the picture? The same nephew!

There was no bersanding ceremony in Kedah as the bride's house was hit by the flood for the first time.

Abang Ijad & Kak Chah.

The couple together with bride's family.

Last shot; at the pelamin.

My cousin, is now pregnant!
Yeay! Big clap for them!

I Love The Smell of The Popcorns!

Watching movies alone is sometimes enjoyable!
Just remember not to choose the middle seat on the back row.

To be honest, I watched this movie just for the purpose of watching Bruce Willis.
I have soft spots for bald men. Haha!
The story line was as I expected it to be but still entertaining cause it was full of actions.

This movie was very entertaining.
The dumb lines and actions are non-stop.
The movie hall was very cold that night.
Not to mention that I was wearing my Adidas gym pants!
Eva Mendez was hot!

At first, I couldn't spot which one was Hayden cause, to be honest, I don't know who the hell Hayden Christensen is!
I can only spot the Callen G guy from the NCIS: LA. I didn't even know his name until I saw the movie poster!
Takers is all about posh 'thieves' that only go for million-goal robbery.
They owned a Porsche, Ducatti, Range Rover and lives in high class apartments.
Watching this movie makes me wishing for more money.
